At a work event held a Club Mar\u00edtimo del Abra (Getxo) by Abantail and Planning Manufacturing that\u00a0 took place on April 25, companies in the Capital Goods sector have proved the tangible benefits through the real application of technologies of the 4.0 Industry in their specific business field.\u00a0The improvements on their ability to present offers and their flexibility towards changes and productivity are some of the advantages that companies, such as Lointek<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0CAF Power Automation<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0Vicinay<\/strong><\/a> are already experiencing, after having completed their digitalization process. They have presented their success stories during an event organised by ISEA’s<\/strong><\/a>Managing Director,\u00a0<\/strong>Mikel\u00a0Orobengoa<\/strong><\/a>, an expert in the 4.0 Industry.<\/p>\n

Under the title \u201cHow to produce goods and sell them at a lower cost?\u201d 4.0 Industry applied to capital goods\u201d,\u00a0the event has brought together experts such as Sonia\u00a0Ortubai<\/strong><\/a>, Abantail Manager; Planning Manufacturing’s CEO,\u00a0Carlos Bayona<\/strong><\/a>; Planning Manufacturing’s Director of Projects,\u00a0<\/strong>David Loidi<\/strong><\/a>;\u00a0Unai Bujanda<\/strong><\/a>, from Abantail’s Business Development: Lointek’s Systems Director,\u00a0I\u00f1igo Z\u00e1rate<\/strong><\/a>;<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Vicinay Cadena\u00b4s Supply Chain Manager,\u00a0Unai Mandaluniz<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<\/strong>CAF Power & Automation’s Presales Engineer,\u00a0Iker Bar\u00f3<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0In their conferences and later round table, they have addressed issues such as how to approach \u201cThe automation of the Engineering knowledge\u201d and how it can benefit companies in various sectors. They have also explained how it is possible to \u2018Design Customised Products in Series\u2019\u201d by using configurators, and how to benefit from knowledge retention (by systemising and saving the know-how developed by people in the company), the quick access to information from various places in the world, the increase in the capacity to create product derivates without increasing costs, and the standardisation of know-how and knowledge. In addition, these processes enable speeding the processes for creation of bids and decreasing efforts by the technical office to make them deal with to more valuable tasks for the business.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the presentation \u201cPractical examples of digital technologies for improving planning and production control, provisioning and out-sourcing\u201d has graphically proved how a global vision, and detailed information of a company and external systems allow for better decision-making processes. The matter of \u201cHow to assess the economic impact and feasibility of implementing these technologies in our company\u201d has been addressed at the event, highlighting the importance of engaging all business areas.<\/p>\n
