Yesterday, 9 October, Sonia Ortubai, a Manager of Abantail, was interviewed on the Euskadi Irratia radio programme, Mezularia, as part of the Made in Basque Country slot.

Mezularia is a current affairs, entertainment and news programme presented by Ainhoa Etxebeste and Eider Bilbao, broadcast live, Monday to Friday, from 18:00h to 20:00h at Euskadi Irratia, a station belonging to the EITB group.

During the interview, Sonia Ortubai explained the story of Abantail, a journey which, after several years of work and innovation, has allowed Abantail to become the leading company in the Spanish market in the automation of made-to-order engineering processes, the preferred partner of our customers for Industry 4.0.

After explaining the benefits of implementing a product configurator in the design process, she described the success story of Orona lifts.

Orona is a company with an annual turnover of close to 600 million euros and more than 4,500 employees, which sells and manufactures all types of lifts. Each one of them is fully customised and Abantail has been working for many years, making it possible for the challenge of mass customisation to become a reality for them.
